As many countries continue to pass the peak of COVID-19, Masters Speciality Pharma’s Head of Licensing, Sid Masters believes now is a good time to reflect on the challenges, successes and response of the pharmaceutical industry during the pandemic. Sid writes:
Over the past few months we have seen Covid-19 wreak havoc by crippling our economies, engraving itself across headlines and leaving the world at a discomforting standstill.
We have stood firm at times and wobbled during others but continue to take steps towards the right direction in manoeuvring ourselves out of this ongoing saga.
We’ve had to familiarise ourselves with the “new normal” and despite differences in industries and the unique challenges that accompany them, I’m sure many of us are in very similar positions; whether you’ve run out of synonyms for ‘unprecedented’, matured your collection of general knowledge through an abundance of Zoom quizzes or seemingly thought you were the only one who did not know the meaning of “furlough” – we are all in this together.
